The Challenger Circuit Breaker Replacement Chart is a guide that helps to ensure that the correct replacement breaker is installed in Challenger brand load centers. The chart lists the breakers by model number and provides information on ampacity, voltage, and interrupting rating. This information is critical in making sure that the replacement breaker is compatible with the load center and can safely handle the electrical load. The chart also includes instructions on how to install the replacement breaker. Following these instructions carefully will help to avoid any potential hazards associated with electrical work. The Challenger Circuit Breaker Replacement Chart is an essential tool for anyone who owns a Challenger brand load center.

FPE NA Circuit Breaker

Right

This is a Federal Pacific Full Size Circuit Breaker used in the same loadcenter as the Half Size

Type R38 and RC38

Left the R38 and RC38 have different colors for each amperage, R38 are Half Size Cheater Breakers that have 2 Individual Handles for 2 Different 120 Volt Circuits. The RC38 is a 2 Pole Half Size

Right is Type Q for 1 Poles and type QC for 2 Poles

All Challenger residential circuit breakers have replacements available so there is no need to purchase a used circuit breaker. The replacements fit perfectly and have ETL or UL Certifications depending on what model you need.

I would suggest for the replacements you request the parts by the original part numbers (except for full size type C) and if your supplier does not know what you are talking about, find a different supplier to make sure you receive the correct item the first time. For the Type C replacement, change the letter C with BR and these arer manufactured by Eaton.
